Buzz Hawkins
We are now supported by Buzz Hawkins, who is the creator of The Bradshaws.

The Bradshaws are a fictional family created and voiced by the comedian and musician Buzz and started life in 1983 on Piccadilly Radio in Manchester on the Gary Davies show when Buzz wrote a poem about a family's day trip to Blackpool.

The characters created by musician Buzz  – squeaky-voiced schoolboy Billy Bradshaw, his world-weary dad Alf and much put-upon housewife mum Audrey who live in the fictional Manchester suburb of Barnoldswick  – chimed with the listeners.

Buzz provides episodes free of charge so that The Bradshaws can be broadcast daily on the station.

F. C. United of Manchester
F. C. United of Manchester has been associated with Northern Air Hospital Radio since it’s inception 10 years ago. We have built up a wonderful relationship with the club. We have regular visits from members of the club. Rob Barlow one of the fundraising volunteers is a regular contributor and has kept us up to date with the progress and development of F. C. United. They have recently opened their new ground in Moston which is called Broadhurst Park.

John Bailey and Joe Sambrook went along to the first game against Benfica which was a friendly. The atmosphere was magnificent and it was a very emotional evening.

It costs £12 a year to become a share holder of this great club which is run by its fans.
